Release challenges one a day with a rotation
A rotation releases a pool of challenges one at a time: a new game every day, or every few days, for a whole season. You set the pool, the first day and how long each one runs, and the open and close dates follow, instead of typing sixty pairs by hand.
Who can do this: Org admins. Read-only users can look at rotations but not change them.
Where: Event → Content → Daily Rotation
Create a rotation
Section titled “Create a rotation”- Click New rotation.
- Enter a Name, for example “Daily Games”, and the First day.
- Click Create. A new rotation releases one challenge a day and closes each one at the end of its day; you can change both on its card.
Choose the challenges
Section titled “Choose the challenges”- On the rotation’s card, click Choose challenges (or Edit pool once it has some).
- Use Add a challenge to add challenges in the order they should open. Use the arrows to move one earlier or later, and the cross to take it out.
- Click Save pool.
A challenge can only be in one rotation.
Saving the pool doesn’t change any challenge yet. The card lists each slot with its dates, and marks slots that still need applying:
- Inactive: the challenge is switched off. Participants can’t open it whatever its dates say. Applying makes it live.
- Not applied: the challenge’s saved dates don’t match the schedule. Apply to write them.
Set the timing
Section titled “Set the timing”On the rotation’s card:
- First day: the date the first challenge opens.
- Days per challenge: 1 to 90. With 1, a new challenge opens every day.
- Keep earlier days playable: off, each challenge closes when its slot ends, so only one is open at a time. On, a challenge stays open once released.
Each slot runs from the start of its first day to the end of its last day, in the time zone shown on the card. Changes save when you leave the field.
Apply the schedule
Section titled “Apply the schedule”- Click Apply schedule.
- Read the banner. It says what changed, for example “Applied — 12 rescheduled, 12 now live.”
Applying writes each challenge’s Opens and Closes and takes it live. It is a separate step on purpose: editing the rotation only shows what would happen.
If a challenge isn’t ready (a QR Scan with no Station UID, a game with no content), Apply leaves it switched off and lists it: “N challenges were left off because they aren’t ready.” Its dates are still written. Click its name to finish it, then apply again.
Apply again after any change to the pool or the timing. Challenges you took out of the pool are released from the rotation.
Remove a rotation
Section titled “Remove a rotation”Click Remove on its card and confirm, or tick several rotations and delete them together. The dates a rotation already wrote stay on the challenges.
