App event list and join screen
When someone opens the app, the join screen is where they pick an event or type its code. The App event list page sets the parts of that screen that belong to your organisation rather than to one event: what sits at the top, the words under it, whether the code box shows, and which events appear as cards, in what order.
Who can do this: Org admins. Other staff roles can open the page and see the settings, but not change them.
Where: Account menu (your avatar at the top right) → App event list. Organisation settings in the same menu shows a summary, with a Manage the app’s event list link.
A phone preview on the right shows the join screen with your unsaved changes. It’s an approximation: spacing and fonts are the phone’s call.
Top of the join screen
Section titled “Top of the join screen”This shows whenever every event the app lists is one of yours. An event’s own Login design (on its Onboarding page) still wins when it is the only event listed.
- Under Show, choose:
- Brand logo: the app’s own brand wordmark.
- Your logo: upload your organisation’s logo. A PNG with a transparent background reads best, because it sits on the dark top of the screen. You need at least one event first, because uploads are stored under one of your events.
- Text: type the words to show.
- Type a Headline. Leave it empty for the app’s own: “Welcome to …”, or “Choose your event” with the code box hidden.
- Optionally type a Line under it, for example “Tap your event’s logo to get started.”
Code entry
Section titled “Code entry”Under Show the event-code box on the join screen, choose:
- Each event decides: each listed event’s own “How people find this event” choice on its Onboarding page decides. The code box tucks behind “Have an event code?” only when every listed event chose List.
- Always show: the code box, “Scan QR code” and “Where do I find my code?” always show under the events.
- Hide: no code box, no “Scan QR code” and no “Where do I find my code?”. People join by tapping an event card.
Only one event listed
Section titled “Only one event listed”By default, people always tap their event’s card to start, even when it is the only one listed. Turn on Open the only listed event by itself to skip the card: with one live listed event, the app goes straight to that event’s sign-in. With two or more listed, people still pick one.
Select Save join screen, or Discard to drop your changes.
Events in the app
Section titled “Events in the app”Every event in your organisation is listed here. Listed, live events show as cards on the join screen in this order. Unlisted events stay in date order.
For each event:
- Turn on Listed to show it as a card. A listed event that isn’t live yet says “Listed — shows in the app once it’s live”.
- Turn on Coming soon to show its card without letting people join yet.
- Drag the event, or use its arrows, to change its place in the order.
- Open the event’s card settings to change how its card looks:
- Card image: wide, about 16:7 (for example 1600×700). With an image, the image is the whole card and no title is drawn on it, so put any words in the image. Without one, the card shows the event’s banner with the title, else the event’s icon and title, else its logo, else a plain row.
- Icon and Title.
Tapping a card opens that event, with no code needed.
Select Save event list to save the whole list, or Discard to drop your changes.
If someone else saves the join screen or the list while you’re editing, the page tells you and lets you load their version or keep yours.
