Photo frames

A photo frame is a branded overlay drawn on top of a participant’s photo. Attach one to a photo challenge, or offer it as a standalone photo-booth activity with no scoring or review.

Who can do this: Org admins. Read-only users can see the frames.

Where: Event → Engagement → Photo Frames

Participants only see frames while the Photo Frames module is on.

The frame must be a PNG with a transparent centre. It’s drawn on top of the participant’s photo, so any solid background (white, for example) hides the photo completely. The page refuses JPEG and WebP files, and PNGs with no transparent pixels.

  1. Click New frame.
  2. Choose one:
    • Standalone activity: enter a Name, for example “Step and Repeat”. It’s a “take a framed photo” moment participants can use any time, with no scoring or review.
    • Attach to a challenge: pick the Photo challenge. The frame is offered when a participant submits to that challenge. Each photo challenge can have one frame, so this option is unavailable when every photo challenge already has one.
  3. Upload the Frame image.
  4. Click Create frame.

Click a frame to open it.

  • For a standalone frame, change the Name and click Save.
  • Upload a new Frame image to replace it. A frame always needs an image, so it can be replaced but not removed.
  • Turn off Visible to participants to hide it: “participants and staff can’t use it.” Turn it back on to bring it back.
