Set your event's look

The look is the event’s colour, light or dark theme, banner, logo and background. It’s used on every onboarding screen, and across the whole app once someone has joined. Overview shows a read-only summary of it under App look.

Who can do this: Org admins.

Where: Event → Content → Onboarding → Join screen → Look

Each setting here saves as soon as you change it. None of them waits for Publish.

Event colour

The event colour is used for buttons and highlights from sign in onwards, and across the whole app once someone has joined. Without one, the event shows in its app’s own colour.

1. Select Brand color.
2. Pick one of the Presets, use the colour picker, or type a hex code such as #1E40AF.
3. Select Apply.

Note

Some apps keep their own button colour. The page tells you when that’s the case; the event colour is then used for highlights.

Dark mode

Turn on Dark mode to use the app’s dark theme for this event.

Some apps are always dark, and some follow each phone’s own setting. For those, the page says the switch has no effect.

Event images

• Event banner: the picture on this event’s card in the app’s event list, and the top of Home unless Home has its own banner photos. Recommended size 1080×480px, JPG or PNG.
• Event logo: shown in the app once someone joins this event, and on its card when the app lists events to pick from. A PNG with a transparent background works best.

Upload or remove each one; the change saves straight away.

Background

A full-screen picture behind the app’s screens once someone has joined. Cards and buttons sit on top of it. Without one, the app uses its own look.

1. Upload Phone (portrait): 1080×1920px, JPG, under 500 KB. It fills the screen, so the edges may be cropped on some phones; keep anything important in the middle.
2. Optionally upload Tablet (landscape) — optional: 1920×1080px, used when a tablet is held sideways. Without it, the portrait picture is used.
3. Drag Darken (0% to 80%) to keep text readable on a bright or busy picture. It starts at 30%.

The sketch beside the settings shows the result. It darkens toward black, as dark screens do; on a light screen the app fades the picture toward the page colour instead.

The join screen’s own design

To give the join screen its own background, logo, words and button colour, use Login design on the Onboarding page. Unlike the look, it waits for Publish. See Onboarding: how people join.
