Find anything with search

Every event has a search box that finds both dashboard pages and the things inside the event: people, teams, challenges, submissions and more. It is the quickest way to reach a page when you don’t know which sidebar group it is in.

Who can do this: Everyone. You only see pages your role can open.

Where: Inside any event, the Search box at the top of the page, or press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows).

  1. Click Search at the top of any event page, or press ⌘K or Ctrl+K. The Search this event window opens.
  2. Type at least two letters.
  3. Use the arrow keys to move through the results and press Enter, or click a result.

Press ⌘K or Ctrl+K again to close the window.

Results come in groups:

  • Pages: dashboard pages whose name matches, or that match a common word for them. For example “push” finds Announcements, “join code” finds Onboarding, and “csv” finds Participants, Leaderboard and Export. A page whose feature is switched off shows “Off” in front of its description.
  • People: participants and teams.
  • Content: challenges, on-ground games, badges, awards, passes, polls, surveys, checklists, teasers and schedule sessions.
  • Activity: submissions, help desk tickets and Q&A questions.

Choosing a result opens the page it belongs to. A participant opens with their drawer showing on Participants, and a team shows on Teams with the list narrowed to it.

If nothing matches, the window says “Nothing matches” followed by what you typed.
