Message participants directly

A message goes to the people you pick, in their Messages inbox, with a push. It is one-way: they can read it but not reply. To reach everyone or a whole team, send an announcement instead.

Who can do this: Org admins. Read-only users can see the messages that were sent.

Where: Event → Ops → Messages (also under Overview in the organiser app)

  1. Click New message.
  2. Search for people by name, email or team, and tick each one. Select all N matching ticks everyone who matches the search, across every page.
  3. Write the Message.
  4. Optionally, add a Link (optional), for example a shared folder.
  5. Click Send to N participants.

If you picked more than 20 people, the button changes to Confirm: send to N participants. Click it again to send.

A message can go to at most 500 people at once. For more, send it in batches or use an announcement.

You can also start a message with the people already chosen:

  • On Participants, from a person’s row, from a selection of several people, or with Send a message in a person’s drawer.
  • On Teams, for a team’s members.

The Messages page lists every message with its Recipient, the Message, any Link, when it was Sent, and whether it is Read or Unread.
