Sliding Puzzle

Participants slide the tiles back into order. The tiles can show a picture or plain numbers.

Who can do this: Org admins.

Where: Event → Content → Challenges → Create → Sliding Puzzle

Set it up

1. Create the challenge and fill in its details (see Create, edit, open and close challenges). It is saved as a draft until it has content.
2. Under Game content, choose the Grid size, from 2 × 2 to 8 × 8. The grid has that many tiles less one empty space.
3. Optionally upload a Picture. It is cut into the tiles. Without one, the tiles are numbered. A square picture works best.
4. Set the Move target for full points, from 5 to 200. Each grid size suggests one.
5. Click Save content, then Go live.

How it scores

• Solved in the move target or fewer: full points.
• Solved in more moves: the score drops for each extra move, reaching 0 at twice the target.
• Submitted unsolved: up to half the points, by how many tiles are in place.
