Using AI assistants

You can connect an AI assistant to your OnStage organisation and ask it, in plain English, to set up and adjust your events. Claude and ChatGPT connect by signing in to OnStage. Other assistants that support MCP, such as Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, Codex CLI and Windsurf, connect with a personal access token. Paste in a client brief and your AI assistant can create the event, fill in the schedule, add Explore pages, challenges, checklists and teams, and write and schedule announcements.

Who can do this: Org admins with two-step verification on. Other roles can’t connect an AI assistant and don’t see the AI access or Pending changes pages.

Where: Account menu (top right) → AI access & two-step

Your AI assistant can’t make anything live on its own. Every change it makes goes into a draft that you can check first:

  • It shows you each change next to what’s there now.
  • The draft also appears on the event’s Pending changes page, where any org admin can publish or discard it.
  • If the event is already live, or the draft sends an announcement or takes the event live, your AI assistant also needs a confirmation code. The code appears only in your OnStage dashboard notifications, never in the assistant.

Every change your AI assistant publishes is recorded in the event’s audit log, tagged via AI, under the name of the person whose access it used.
